#009 SHOULD TEMPLES ACCUMULATE GOLD?

Should we take pride or feel ashamed when we see a news report that an Acharya dances before a weighing scale in ecstasy? The occasion was weighing in 350 kgs. of gold bricks on one side of the balance and a statue of Swami Muktijivan SwamiBapa at Ahmedabad, to celebrate his Centenary. The dancing Acharya was Shri Purushotam Priyadas Maharaj.

It is very difficult to identify what type of divine bliss will accrue to Swamijis when they themselves are weighed in gold or their Gurujis weighed in gold. Is it not high time that they ponder over the futility of temples and monasteries amasssing gold?
