Tungabhadra Pushkarams have started.
Brief perspective:
The Planet Jupiter, takes, twelve years for revolving round the son. He, stays about one year, in each zodiacal sign in the twelve year cycle. The Hindu tradition, selected twelve rivers, for the pushkarams depending on the constellation in which Jupiter stays. Hindus, believe, that the selected rivers will be more sacred during the Pushkara period than they are during other days. The rivers will be purer than all other rivers in India during that period. Hindus, hence bathe in the Pushkaram rivers, to cleanse their sins.
