A dhaarmika in its broadest meaning include all persons who abide by some sort of code of ethics.
There are news reports which indicate the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Dharmika Salaha Mandali has been reconstituted with 18 retired IAS/IPS Officers , with one Retired IAS Officer as Chairperson.
Does not this give an an implied meaning that only IAS/IPS Officers are dharmikas and others are not ?
The previous Trust Board was led by a liquor baron and had the kith and kin of politicians as members.
The present Board will have retired IAS/IPS fellows?
What difference will it make?
Nothing. India is a corrupt country. The IAS/IPS Officers have an approximate 30% share in the corruption of this country. Are they not satisfied with it? Do they want 100% share in the corruption of TTD which is the second richest place of worship in this world?
The bureaucrats cannot pose themselves as dhaarmikas and appoint themselves to the board. Every person who visits the temple and prays Lord Venkateswara is a dhaarmika. He need not even drop any money into the hundi.
The Specified Authority consisting of the IAS Officials , if it found it difficult to identify suitable persons who satisfy the caste reservations and other criteria , could have drawn lots using the names and addresses of the thousands of devotees who throng the temple everyday, after eliminating the names of minors. The random selection of the members from a computer database of devotees and visitors, would have yielded a board better than the board loaded with IAS and IPS Officers.
DOES NOT HINDUISM NEED A TOTAL CLEANSING? Simply because other religions are continuing their DIRT on their backs, should Hindus also carry their DIRT on their backs? Changing religion does not help because the burden on the back will not change. Quantum and quality of dirt will change. Love for a religion shd arise from its merits. Not from hatred towards other religions. Nobody will like to leave a good house.
